The Wirral Summer Trail Series started at Thurstaston Visitor Centre over a course of 5 miles. Olivia Bramwell showed everyone the way with a sixth place finish and first lady. There were age category wins for Olivia, Rich Webster, Vicky McConnell, Elaine Opara, Phil Cuthbert and Rab Whitworth. Jan McArd said after the race "Olivia lead the WAC team home, and our 21 runners secured the top spot tonight."
