Kieran Salmon travelled to the Lake District for the Lakes in a Day Ultra. The race consisted of a course over 50 miles and 4000m ascent from the very top of the Lake District at Caldbeck to the very bottom, at Cartmel, via the stunning Helvellyn Ridge and the western shoreline of Lake Windermere. The race was advertised as "It might not be the easiest traverse but it will be the most spectacular!" \kieran finihsed in 14:16 a monumental effort.
