The final race in Wirral Summer Trail Series started at Thurstaston Visitor Centre. Mike Jones was our first man home covering the 5-mile course in 32:50 (7th). Becky Blacklock took third place in the ladies' race in 36:37. There were age category wins for Rich Webster, Paul Griffiths and Maria Hunter. As a results of all the fantastic performances Wallasey AC won the team race and Becky Blacklock won the overall ladies' series. There were also age category wins for Kat Cowdray (F40), Lesley-Anne Cucksey (F60) and Paul Griffiths (M40). After the race women's club captain Jan McArd said "Thanks so much to everyone that gave up their time to race in this series, whether it was one race or all five. Every single runner contributed to our success and winning that cup and every runner gave 100% as always. Huge congrats to award winners."
