The Pen-y-ghent Fell Race hosted the Inter-Counties Mountain Race at Horton, North Yorkshire in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Phil Cuthbert and Tony Barbat earned Merseyside vests after completing the race in 01:21 and 01:23 respectively. These results helped Merseyside to finish in 22nd place.
