The Chester Half Marathon started on the race course, took a route through the city and then out into the country around Mollington before returning to finish by the town hall. Jan McArd had a superb run knocking 14 minutes off her best time to finish in 1:39. Jan said "The hill at the start nearly killed me and considered pulling out at mile 3 but thought 'What is the worst that can happen?'. Well in this case absolutely nothing. Stuck with the 1:40 pacers (who were totally amazing) for as long as I could and dug in. Couldn't be happier!"
