The Betws Trail Half Marathon started behind St Mary's Church in Betws-y-coed and consisted of two laps that climbed up into the Gwydyr Forest, around the quarry and completed a lap of Llyn Elsi, before finishing at the Waterloo Hotel. Phil Cuthbert finished in 2:11 for 17th place.
