The Trailffest Half Marathon started at Blaenau Ffestiniog up in the Moelwyn mountain range at 710 feet elevation and finished down by the sea in Portmadog, and had some very steep and challenging climbs along the way. The route took runners past the industrial slate quarries in Blaenau Ffestiniog and then down through the beautiful vale of Ffestiniog, through the forestry plantations and then on to a small tarmac road and ended along the cob embankment with views of the mountain range. Ray Clark finished in 01:45:19 for a commendable fourth place.
