The 24 hour Conti Thunder Run took place in Catton Park, Walton on Trent. The runners were challenged to run 10k trail loops continuously for 24 hours. Wallasey A.C. had a team in the 6 person category. Pete and Helen Brunt, Ollie, Martin and Dawn Hunt, Steve Armstrong and Kareen Porschke completed 16 full laps and finished 191st. Martin Connell also took part and his team completed 24 laps for 36th place. With 14 hours of rain the course turned into a mud bath increasing the difficulty level.
