A special event was held to raise money for the Bennet children who tragically lost both parents to cancer in the last week. John Hammond organised a 12 hours run, bike walk on the seafront from New Brighton to Seacombe Ferry, with a "U" turn then back up to the start. Then anyone remaining running slowly from Seacombe to the Birkenhead Parkrun for another 3 miles at 9a.m. Martin Connell and Steve Armstrong managed the full 12 hours plus the Parkrun a laudable effort, Bryan Stevenson also ran 16 miles.
