10 Wallasey A.C. athletes completed the Liverpool Marathon. Several runners achieved personal bests including Mike Hughes, Jess Lovell, Bryan Stevenson, Vicky Kehoe, Julie Barbat and Vicky McConnell, all the runners did extremely well. Richard Webster was first home in a superb 27th place and 3rd in his age category returning in 02:53:23, Steve Smith was in next in 02:59:09 for 51st place a great effort. Jess Lovell also ran very well finishing in 03:26:53 and 19th lady. Wallasey AC also helped make the event a success by manning a drinks station at 9 miles, handing refreshments to over 3000 runners and the club also provided some of the key officials.
