9 runners from Wallasey A.C. completed the Mersey Tunnel 10K. On a warm day the runners also had to contend with the uphill section of the tunnel which is over a mile in length. Greg Jones made light of the course and conditions to set a personal best of 36:05 for 12th place based on his chip time. Next runner back was Phil Bird in 39:58 (50th), shortly followed by Colin Palmer 40:27 (60th). The first lady home was Nicci Davies in 55:30 (125th lady) and third in her age category.
