A favourable wind helped some of the Wallasey athletes to personal bests for the Wirral Seaside Run. Greg Jones was 2nd male overall in an excellent time of 16:16. Colin Benson also beat his Seaside best dipping under 20 minutes with a 19:35. Tricia Jones was second lady overall and Sharon Lamont also set a personal best of 21:13. Diane McArdle knocked nearly a minute off her best finishing in 24:29.
