A brilliant result from former Wallasey Athletic Club runner Neil Tunstall when he travelled to Riccione in Italy earlier this month to compete in the World Masters Track and Field Championships. Competing in the 400 metre hurdles in the 45-49 age group, Neil won his heat in 59.58 seconds, qualifying with ease for the final with the fastest time. Lining up as favourite, the CAC hurdler stormed around the track to take gold, clocking 57.71, with another British runner, Jonathan Tilt, finishing second in 58.24 and Manual Blanco (Spain) third in 59.65.
