Wallasey had 6 runners at the Chester Half Marathon, first home was Joe Johnson in a time of 85.44 for 69th place, not far behind him was Keith Simpson 86.58 for 81st position. Other good runs came from Richard Saunders who finished in 87.35 (86), newcomer Mike Cockburn with a solid 97.56 (295). Mike Griffiths completed the course in 99.54 (369) and another personal best and Mark Pembroke came home in 2.02.49 (1237). The team finished 10th overall.
