Wallasey H. & A.C. took part in the championship meeting of the Liverpool & District Cross-Country Union, which was held at Bromborough Pool on Saturday last. There were seven teams, including Wallasey, in the senior championship, which was over a nine-mile course. There were between 80 and 90 starters, S. Francom, of the Wirral A.C., took the lead in the second lap and kept it till the finish, leading the field home comfortably by just over half a minute. His time was 57mins. 22secs., and he was followed by P. Scott (Wallasey), whose time was 57mins. 54 secs. The championship fell to Wirral A.C., with 51 points. Wallasey were third with 106 points.
