Wallasey stepped in at short notice to organise a Borders League race after Wrecsam Tri had problems obtaining permission for a course. The race took place at the Birkenhead Park and the weather on the day was mild and the course consisted of three laps and totalled 4.85 miles. The men's team finished third on the day and lie fourth overall. Counters were Jack Poland (13th), George Gillies (16th), Gabriel Pearse (23rd), Patrick Cuthbert (37th), Rob Pearse (38th), Steven Leslie (50th), Scott Eves (58th), Phoenix Pearse (62nd), Warren Norton (81st) and Mike Jones (86th) . Olivia Bramwell, making her debut, led the ladies to an excellent joint second finish with a fine run coming home in sixth place. Other counters were Vicky McConnell (13th), Elaine Opara (25th), Lisa Griffiths (35th), Kat Cowdray (36th) and Sue Reynolds (54th). This fine result leaves the ladies in 5th place overall but with a large gap to the team below.
