The final Borders League race of 2024-2025 took place under sunny skies at Mold. The start and finish of the course was adjusted to prevent the blocking of the road at the end of the race. The new finish was on one of the industrial estates after the flyover. Wallasey's runners responded to the "call to arms" to finish the season as strongly as possible. The women finished in second place on the day and third overall. Paulena Kremling led the team home in an excellent sixth place. Other counters were Chloe Nicholson (11th), Becky Blacklock (12th), Vicky McConnell (20th), Allison Brown (38th) and Sue Reynolds (44th). The men finished third on the day and fifth overall. Steven Ferroni was first back in a great fifth place and was supported by George Gillies (23rd), Louis Gorman (33rd), Dan Anderson (34th), Chris Jones (47th), Steve Leslie (48th), Mike Jones (59th), Rob Pearse (65th), Scott Eves (71st) and Alan Kennedy (86th). Derek McArdle completed his 100th Border's race a remarkable achievement. Sharon Lamont battled bravely with a cough to become the only runner to complete all seventeen Grand Prix races. The race doubled as the club's road race championship with Steven Ferroni and Paulena victorious. Steven was also second in the men overall and senior men, Paulena was third in the senior women, Vicky McConnell was third V35, Rob Pearse was third V50, Tony Barbat third V60 and Mary Rees second V70.
