The July Wirral Seaside Run attracted nearly 500 runners after it was included in the Merseyside Grand Prix. 25 of the finishers were from Wallasey A.C. First home for the men on a sunny and warm evening was Rob Pearse in 16:50 for fifth place and an age category win, Helen Anne Stansfield set a course personal best of 19:59 and was ninth lady.
