Close finish in A.C.'s novice championship



What is said to be the closest finish in the history of the Club Novice Championship was witnessed at Leasowe Road on Saturday, when D. Anderson and R. Fullerton

crossed the finishing line so close together that the time keepers could not separate them.

D. Anderson was awarded the race by the judges, and both runners were credited with the time of 33 min. 8 sec. D. B. Johnson was third; in 34.44.

Other placings were: E. Cockshott, B. Morris.

Today the club entertains Liverpool Harriers at Leasowe Road, 3 p.m.
