Cheshire hold their Championships at Winnington Park and the holder, Colin Broom (East Cheshire), is fit enough to retain his title. His nearest challengers last year were international miler Mike Berisford and John Wright (Wallasey).
The Sale runner could again go close, but Wright aided by his teammate, Brian Woolford, may be the biggest danger. Wallasey should also retain their team title.
