
A display of running through the years will go on show at Earlston Road Library in Wallasey next month to mark the centenary of the local athletic club.
The exhibition by Wallasey Athletic Club is being held at the library between April 24-29.
The club is also keen to hear from anyone who may have memorabilia about the club or former members which can be included.
The exhibition will be repeated at the, library between September 11 and 16.
As part of the centenary celebrations, a dinner will be held at St Alban's Church Hall in Liscard on September 16.
The first annual general meeting of Wallasey Harriers was held at the headquarters, Oarside Farm on September 26, 1906. There were a number of Harrier clubs in the Wallasey area at that time and Wallasey Harriers was formed by the members of Liscard Congregational Harriers, named after the church of the same name in Rake Lane.
In 1908 the club amalgamated with Homecroft Athletic Club to form the renamed Wallasey Athletic Club.

Wallasey Athletic Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm at Harrison Hall in Wallasey village.
