Northern League

This weekend sees the final round of the Northern League with promotion and relegation a major issue for most local clubs.

Liverpool Pembroke Sefton have an outside chance of a place in the British League qualifier provided they win at Wakefield.

Warrington are already assured of a place in the promotion match next month but Chester must beat Bolton to be certain of joining.

Wirral need to finish two places and 47 points clear of Southport at Stretford to stay in Division Two.

The odds are against the Bebington outfit surviving.

Liverpool B have home advantage to consolidate their position at the top of Division Three.

South Liverpool look certain to be relegated and are likely to be joined by Whitby Heath.

Wirral B and Wigan B are Involved in a three-way battle with Northern (Isle of Man) for promotion from Division Five at Stockport.

Wallasey are in their familiar bottom position.

Liverpool Harriers expect to be relegated after this weekend's final British League match at Kingston.

The womens' teams should stay in Division Three after their final fixture at the same venue on Sunday.
