The above club held an ordinary run from headquarters, the Fairhaven Institute, Sea view-road, Liscard, on Saturday, when there was again a good attendance, including Harold Syson, late of the Beaver Harriers, Montreal, Canada.
The club are indeed fortunate in securing this very useful runner as a member. The pack were paced by the secretary over a course of about seven miles in the direction of Bidston Moreton, and Leasowe, and back over the Golf Links, a good deal of road being included in the course. The rain came on when the men had been out about ten minutes, so all had a thorough ducking, but none the less the run was enjoyed by everyone.
To-day there is an inter-club run with Pembroke from the Knotty Ash Hotel (meet at the Town Hall at 2.30 p.m.), while next week a three-cornered run takes place with Boundary and Liverpool from the Lamb Hotel, Wavertree.
The hon. secretary and treasurer (Mr. H. R. Scoins, "Edale," Withen's-lane, Liscard) will be pleased to give applicants any information with regard to the club.
