The committee of the Liverpool Stanley A.F.C. are to be congratulated on the excellent bill of fare they put before their patrons on Monday. Among the competitors were several of the notabilities who
competed at the Olympic games at the Stadium.
Half-mile flat race was won by A. G. Nicholson (Wallasey).
There were also come spirited contests at the Formby Catholic Association Sports. The 220 yards race (open) was won F. Derwent, Wallasey F.C., and in the 100 yards (open) J. Rimmer, Liscard, came in second.
At the Southport Infirmary Sports the Half-mile flat handicap (open) H. Davies, West Cheshire Harriers, came in first.
