Wallasey's leading international athlete, who in 1968 was the, town's Sports Personality of the Year, Miss Barbara Banks, of Harrison Drive, was married to Mr. Budha Majumdar, of West Bengal, India, at English Martyrs' Church, St. George's Road, Wallasey, on June 30. Barbara is a member of Wallasey Athletic Club.
