Wallasey Secondary Technical School won the schoolboys' race at the Wallasey Athletic Club's boys' and youths' cross-country meeting last Saturday.
Team results were :1. Technical School 'A' team; 2, Liscard S.M. School 'A' team ; 3, Moreton S.M. School 'A' team. Sixty-four runners finished the course and first runner home from an unplaced team was R. Edwards, who finished in 6th place.
In the youths' race R. Barlow was an easy winner. A Townsend was 2nd and D. White 3rd. Barlow is an old boy of the Technical School.
The races were started by Mr. H. R. B. Wood (Director of Education) and the Mayor (Ald. B. Brooker) distributed the trophy and medals.
