Perfect weather favoured the Cheshire County cross-country championships at Port Sunlight.
The boys event over two miles was rather easily won by B. Field (Stockport School) in 9mins. 40secs. R. Barlow (Wallasey A.C.) was second in 10mins. 4secs., and A. W. Townsend (Wallasey A.C.) finished third in 10mins 6secs.
Team placings: 1. Stockport (1-9-16-17). 42 pts.; 2. East Cheshire Harriers (holders), 58 pts.; 3. Wallasey A.C., 64 pts.; 4. Wirral A.C., 75 pts.
