To prepare for the coming cross-country season a party of 15 senior athletes from the Wallasey Athletic Club travelled to the National Recreational Centre at Lilleshall, Shropshire.
The members spent a hectic, but rewarding time with such activities as long distance running, 5-a-side football and volleyball.
Today the club will be able to see the fruits of their labours when the seniors join the rest of the club members at Woolton Park.
This is the venue for the first of three league races which count towards the Liverpool & District Champions. Wallasey are hoping that their Lilleshall training may help them challenge the might of Liverpool District Champions, Sefton Harriers.
