Something was missing from Saturday's inter-club meeting at Warrington, where Wallasey A.C. were competing only as guests. Consequently, no points were scored by the club whatever position we finished. It is hoped that the club fare better when they compete in the final Merseyside track and field league meeting at the same venue.
Only 3 of our athletes produced personal best performances the rest failing to come near their best. The 3 were B. Shaw in the Ladies Javelin, Bob Brimage in the youths' 1,000 metre steeplechase and Bob Warburton in the Senior 1500 metres.
