The new promoters of the Wirral Charity 10-mile road race, Wallasey A.C., enjoyed a highly successful day.
Ian Cannings sixth, Paul Rowland seventh and John Cottrell 11th gained the men's team prize for Wallasey with Ian and Paul also winning individual awards and John the winner of the veterans prize.
In the ladies race Sue Cabrey ran well to gain fourth place. A fine day greeted the runners and due to sponsors S & A Universal Leisures fine support the race was a huge success.
