Saturday saw one of the largest ever turnouts for the Women's National Cross- Country Championships, hosted by Leeds City A.C. at Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Wallasey and Wirral Athletic Clubs turned out a full complement of athletes who competed with grit and determination in torrential weather on a particularly gruelling course.
