Wallasey A.C. encountered stiff opposition during their Cheshire League fixture at Bebington Oval, but despite this there were still some noteworthy performances.
The most impressive of which was an emphatic victory by Leisel Phillips in the under-15 girls 200 metres clocking 28.9, running into a head wind.
In separate heats of the same event Emma Derwent recorded 30.4 while Joanne Johnson's time was 30.5.
The under-13 girls relay squad made their debut with Paula Simpson, Stephanie Warrington, Sarah Graves and Michelle Bellringer combining to take fifth position.
In the under-11 division the best performances were from David Beggs, Kenneth Gibbon and Karen Simpson. Bob Brimage ran best of the senior men in the 1500 metres finishing second with a time of 4 minutes 1.7 seconds.
