Wallasey Athletic Club competed in the Liverpool & District Road Relay Championships in Sefton Park.
The 'A' team finished 11th, with Alek Boughey and Bob Brimage fastest with 14:05 and 14:26 respectively, for the 2¾-mile course. The next two both showed improvements over the previous year's race, as Ken Gibbon clocked 14:44 and Pete Lonsdale improved by 23 seconds from 15:14 to 14:51.
Joint fastest in the 'B' team's 16th-placed performance were Andy Skinner and Dominic Robinson.
