Two Wallasey youngsters are travelling to Milan, Italy, this weekend - to compete against athletes from all over the world in an international schools athletic match.
Ian Mcleod and Janet McGee, both pupils at St. Mary's College, Wallasey, have been picked for the British team which is taking part in the competition - organised by the International Federation of Catholic Schools.
Ian, of Withens Lane, Wallasey, will be running in the 100 metres event and the relays while Janet, of Northcote Road, Wallasey, will be in action in the 800 metres.
Both youngsters are members of Wallasey Athletic Club.
