A display of running through the years will go on show at Earlston Road Library in Wallasey next month to mark the local club's centenary. Wallasey A.C.'s exhibition is being held at the venue from April 24-29 and will be repeated from September 11th-16th. The club is keen to hear from anyone with memorabilia which can included. As part of the centenary celebrations a dinner will be held at St. Alban's Church Hall, Liscard, on September 16.

The first annual general meeting of Wallasey Harriers was held at Oarside Farm on September 26, 1906. There were a number of Harrier clubs in the Wallasey area at that time, and Wallasey Harriers was formed by the members of Liscard Congregational Harriers, named after the church of the same name situated on Rake Lane. In 1908, the club amalgamated with Homecroft AC to form the renamed Wallasey AC.

Anyone wishing to attend the dinner or has memorabilia which could be included should contact Bob Brimage on: 0151 677 7380.

Wallasey AC meets every Tuesday and Thursday (6:30p.m.) at Harrison Hall in Wallasey Village.
