Last Saturday the club had their postponed cyclo cross fixture against the Wallasey Cyclists. The race was won for the second year in succession by cyclist Johnny Fryer. He just beat Ron Barlow by a few feet in a thrilling finish.
Ron produced some more of the brilliant form he is showing this season, he was a minute ahead of Pete White who was followed by Brian Woolford, Tony Farrell surprised himself and most other club members by running a fine race to finish in 5th position. Next came Tony Townsend and Bill Farrell in 6th and 7th. Eighth was Dave White, 9th Ken Tunstall and 10th Phil Townsend. He was followed by two cyclists namely P. Morton and P. Johnson.
