The Paul Lavelle Foundation Marathon started and finished outside Fort Perch Rock and used the promenade to Seacombe Ferry and out to Meols. Michael Robson had an excellent run finishing in third place in under 3 hours. After the race Michael said "Crystal maze challenge for the first few miles followed by some lovely scorchio sun and then a headwind for the last 7 miles! That was hard work, I was on my own after the start so a big thank you to everyone who was egging me on, the support was massively appreciated! The B goal of sub 3 (2:57:38) new personal best and a cheeky podium for 3rd place. All in a good day!"
