10 Wallasey AC runners took part in the Southport Half Marathon the course was a traffic free route which included Lord Street in the town centre and a start/finish area with live music and entertainment. The route is the only running event in the history of Southport to be permitted to close Lord Street to traffic and allow participants to run through the heart of this famous seaside resort. First home for the club were Steve Brealey 01:24:07 (44th) and Becky Blacklock 01:38:10 (12th).
