The Birkenhead Park 5 miles race took place on a pleasant evening, the race consisted of one short and two long laps of the lower park. 21 runners from the club participated with Greg Jones first man home in 8th (27:16) and Helen Anne Stansfield first lady in 9th (33:19) and second in her age category.
