The Helvellyn 15k started and finished at Jenkins Field on the shores of Ullswater in Glenridding and followed circuits along footpaths and bridleways that took in the foothills of Helvellyn, and an elevated panoramic views of Ullswater, and dramatic vistas of Helvellyn and the surrounding peaks. Phil Cuthbert completed the course in 01:11 for a creditable sixth place.
