Lisa Griffiths led the Wallasey's senior women to 14th place at the Northern Cross-Country Championships held at Pontefract. Counters were Lisa (96th), Kat Cowdray (106th), Sue Reynolds (118th) and Julie Barbat (132nd). The team was backed up by Lesley-Anne Cucksey (134th).
