Race 5 of the Borders League fixtures took place on Hoylake Premenade. The course was out and back and covered 4.6 miles. The men's team finished fourth on the day and lie fourth overall. Counters were Jack Poland became club road champion with his 8th place finish holding off a brave attempt by Gabriel Pearse (13th) to wrestle the title away. Other counters were Patrick Cuthbert (22nd), Rob Pearse (31st), George Gillies (32nd), Mike Jones (44th), Warren Norton (54th), Scott Eves (57th), Bernie Murphy (81st) and Liam Mitchell (102nd). Rebecca Murphy led the ladies team home with an excellent fifth place and not far behind was Olivia Bramwell in seventh. Other counters were Vicky McConnell (20th), Elaine Opara (25th), Lisa Griffiths (44th) and Kat Cowdray (47th). This fine result leaves the ladies in 4th place overall. With the final race of the season being cancelled this means the overall positions above were the final positions.
