Race 2 - Abergele - 17/11/2002 - Seniors
The men's team finished in fifth place in division two at Abergele. The 6.4 mile course included a large hill at the back of the town and was challenging for the runners. Richard Cowell was first home in 21st place in 37:05 and other counters were John Cottrell (60th), Dave Walton (72nd), Bob Brimage (78th), Arthur Wilson (82nd), Steve Frank (99th), Gareth Ward (105th), debutant Tony Barbat (113th), Pete Lonsdale (136th) and Pat Riley (157th). The ladies had an incomplete team and finished fourth with just Sue Barraclough completing the race as 27th lady.
Race 3 - Capenhurst - 08/12/2002 - Seniors
Richard Cowell was first under 20 home at the Borders League race at Capenhurst, Richard came 15th overall and led the men's team to a third place finish in division two. Other counters for the men were John Cottrell (53rd), Karl Pickstock (64th), Dave Walton (65th), Joe Johnson (67th), Bob Brimage (76th), Arthur Wilson (85th), Tony Barbat (113th), Gareth Ward (115th) and John Rafftery (122nd).
Race 4 - Caernarfon - 02/02/2003 - Seniors
On a 10k course at Caernarfon Wallasey AC men's team finished a creditable fourth in division two. Richard Cowell was first under 20 and first home for the club in 35:35 for 23rd place. Others in the counting team were John Cottrell (61st), Joe Johnson (65th), Dave Walton (76th), Arthur Wilson (90th), John Raftery (120th), Pat Riley (133rd), Pete Lonsdale (139th), Dave Godwin (142nd) and Ken Hilton (150th).
Race 5 - Flint - 02/03/2003 - Seniors
Wallasey AC travelled to Flint for race 5 of the Borders League. Richard Cowell was first in his age category (under 20) in 24th place and led the men to fourth place with 896 points. Other counters were Karl Pickstock (50th), John Cottrell (57th), Dave Walton (72nd), Arthur Wilson (80th), Joe Johnson (98th), Phil Bird (103rd), Pat Riley (121st), John Raftery (137th) and Pete Lonsdale (154th).
Race 6 - Prestatyn - 20/03/2003 - Seniors
Round 6 of the Borders League took place at Prestatyn. Wallasey AC's men accumulated a total of 870 points for fourth place in division two. First home for the club with an age category win was Richard Cowell in 31st place, not far behind was Karl Pickstock in 40th. Others in the counting team were Dean Barry (60th), Joe Johnson (61st), Arthur Wilson (73rd), John Raftery (113th), Alan Johnson (130th), Stan Williams (155th), Dermot Ferguson (160th) and Dave Godwin (163rd).
Race 7 - Wrexham - 30/04/2003 - Seniors
The final Borders League race of 2002-2003 took place at Wrexham. Richard Cowell had his best result of the season for the club with 19th place as the team finished in fourth place with 925 points. Other counters were Joe Johnson (48th), Arthur Wilson (57th), Karl Pickstock (71st), Dave Walton (89th), Tony Barbat (107th), Pat Riley (109th), John Raftery (119th), Ken Hilton (149th) and Stan Williams (157th). This left the team in fourth place overall in division two.
