Coed Llandegla Forest in Llandegla was the setting for the Big Welsh Trail Half Marathon, the forest near to the Welsh/English border is a Mecca for mountain bikers and walkers, set a fantastic backdrop for this new and exciting event. Martin Connell finished in 01:50:54 for 24th place, Martin said "Tough in places, some big hills, boggy marsh land to cross some challenging terrain. Lots of fun though."
