Wallasey Athletic Club's annual Christmas handicap was run on Saturday over
3½ miles. The handicapping proved accurate and the whole field converged upon the finish within two minutes. First man home was Hugh Pritchard, followed by Reg Lancaster and Colin Harris.
Bob Johnston cut his way through most of the field to finish in sixth place recording the fast time of 18 mins. 27 secs. Juniors J. Lynch, K. Ledward and Maddock also ran well, all three finishing in the second fastest time of 19 mins. 50 secs.
W.A.C. travel to Woolton today for a three-cornered inter-club fixture with Liverpool H. and A.C. and Sefton Harriers. A boy's event will be included. Meet Liverpool Pier Head 2 p.m.
