Last week's fixture against Liverpool Harriers at Wallasey was an excellent if not glorious event for Wallasey.
As usual, Liverpool fielded a large and strong pack which proved its worth by winning convincingly, placing their six counting men, in the first eight places. Johnson, of Wallasey, ran well, to finish second to Finney, of Liverpool.
Wallasey youths managed to save the day and at the same time to have their revenge for last year's defeat. K. Ledward, H. Foot, E. Maddock, and J. Lynch, accounting for Wallasey, ran well and Wallasey won easily.
Two teams are entered for the West Lancashire novice championship, and it is hoped that they will put up a performance worthy of their earlier successes. The coach for the teams and supporters will leave Seacombe Ferry at 1.45 p.m. to-day.
