Today, Wallasey Athletic Club will run a return race against Liverpool H. & A.C. from the Wallasey headquarters in Green Lane, Wallasey Village, starting at 3 p.m.
It is certain that the Liverpool team will do all in their power to reverse the defeat by Wallasey over the course at Woolton on November 17th. Today's event will be run over the Wallasey standard four and three-quarter miles course which lies over the Bidston Marshes and starts and finishes at Green Lane.
Next week Wallasey A.C visit the famous Pembroke Harriers at Broadgreen, Liverpool. On December 22nd, the Christmas Handicap will be held. This is the big annual family event at which every runner receives a prize. His worship the Mayor, Alderman W. B. Millward, J.P. has consented to present the prizes. A cordial invitation is extended to all previous members of the club, relatives, friends and supporters. The Christmas Handicap race will start at 3 p.m. and the prizes will be distributed at 3-45 p.m.
Last week a practice race was staged, and times were recorded over the standard course. J. Edwards, captain of the club, finished first in 27 mins. 7 secs.
