Second-Lieut. Alan Pennington, of the Border Regiment, whose home is at Wallasey, has been wounded. He is the noted England sprinter, and has run for Great Britain against the U.S. and Germany.
He is an Oxford Blue. He won, the Junior A.A.A. and the Public Schools' Championship twice and in 1936 he won. the 220 yards event at the English University Championships.
