The season may now be said to be in working order. The fixture card of this club is already printed.
The list includes inter-club runs with Liverpool Oddfellows, Richmond, North Liverpool Gymnasium, and Pembroke: besides which there are local "Derbies" with Wallasey Harriers, and a run and a match with their own Y.M.C.A. football club. The races for members include handicaps at distances of three, five and seven miles. There will also be a Christmas handicap and a Club championship with a sealed handicap. The Club will also enter a team for the L. & D.C.C.A. championship. Another important "fixture" is the social at the close of the season. A few sociable evenings of another nature are also contemplated, so that it is quite evident that the members are determined to enjoy themselves. Runs take place wet or fine, and the next is fixed for to-day (Saturday) at 3.15, and will be an easy spin from headquarters to the more serious sport of next week, when the first handicap will be held.
Gentlemen desirous of joining should apply to the hon. secretary and treasurer, S. L. Brookes, 2, Eden-avenue, Egremont.
