The above club held an ordinary run last Saturday from headquarters. There were two packs out, "slows" and "fasts," each traversing a course of about six miles. H. Colvey, a new runner out for his first time, ran very well, and should develop into a good runner.
To-day the Christmas race will be held, and will take the form of a sealed handicap over a course of a little over five miles. As is usual in these events, each runner will receive a prize, so a good muster is anticipated. In order that the race shall finish in the light, members will oblige by being at headquarters not later than 3.30 p.m.
Next Saturday a grand holiday whist drive and dance is to he held at the Grosvenor Assembly Rooms, for further particulars of which see advertisement on front page.
